Bestiary

I sometimes lean into metaphor and mythology, and as such have vaguely evoked some creatures as a kind of creative symbology to illustrate my points.

For clarity, here are the explanations:

Blankwraith

The manifestation of writer’s block, the Blankwraith freezes ideas in a cooled mind and slows the ability of the author to turn thoughts into story. It thrives on isolation and attention, the more it is looked at the stronger it grows. It is a skittish creature, however, and lurks in dark places often frightened by fresh air and warm sunlight.

Shadowtroll

Dawdling at the doorsteps of performance spaces, these scavengers feed on the imperfection of creative souls, feasting on the corpses of ideas they deem unworthy of an impossible standard. They produce nothing but rage disguised as critique, bastardizing the notion of analysis, education, and improvement hoping to elevate their own pitiful selves upon the heaps of victims who fall into their traps.
